STX Next, an IT consulting firm with offices in London, UK, Mexica, Poland, Germany and Texas, USA, has announced a partnership with appliedAI, Europe’s largest initiative for applied artificial intelligence.

Together, they have developed a comprehensive solution designed to increase the value creation of AI initiatives and ensure compliance with the EU AI Act.

The appliedAI Management Suite offers a centralised dashboard that streamlines risk assessment and AI portfolio optimisation, helping organisations to maximise their return on investment while minimising the time, resources and costs associated with meeting regulatory requirements.

By providing clear guidance and interpretation of regulatory guidelines, the suite supports organisations in navigating the complexities of the AI landscape. The appliedAI Management Suite is specifically targeted at AI and legal departments, aiming to position Europe as a global leader in AI and a strong competitor in the international market.

The suite includes a range of tools, such as a feasibility calculator that evaluates factors like data readiness, model deployment and overall deployment ease. Additionally, a risk classifier solution helps organisations assess the potential risks associated with AI use cases in the early stages, enabling them to modify and improve potential solutions.

Commenting on the collaboration, Ronald Binkofski, CEO at STX Next said: “Since the introduction of the EU AI act in March 2024, many businesses have sought effective new ways to manage their AI projects to ensure compliance while maximising their potential value.

“When the AI boom arrived, concerns were quickly raised around its governance and the protection of users. The new regulations were introduced by the EU to ensure that AI systems used in the region are safe, transparent, traceable, non-discriminatory and environmentally friendly, and as such they present complex but important challenges for businesses.

“Our partnership with appliedAI is a result of our shared support for the progression of responsible innovation. Our collaboration should make establishing the next series of AI projects a much less laborious process, and will contribute to a safer and fairer future for AI. Added together, this will make it much easier for new projects to reach their full potential.”

The management suite seamlessly integrates with existing IT infrastructure to support data management and analysis. It collects data from multiple sources, including MLOps platforms, experiment-tracking tools and data catalogues.
