In a significant move aimed at boosting business efficiency and enhancing customer experience, Zoho Corporation, headquartered in Bletchley, Milton Keynes, UK, unveiled its new IoT platform, Zoho IoT, on September 25, 2024. The platform offers scalable, low-code solutions that are customisable and designed specifically for various industry needs including Industrial IoT, Smart Buildings, Remote Monitoring, and Connected OEMs.

Zoho IoT enables real-time data management and analysis from IoT devices, facilitating intelligent insights and streamlined operations. Its user-friendly interface allows organisations to automate processes and make informed decisions easily, requiring minimal technical skills. The platform also features robust security protocols, ensuring data privacy and adherence to global standards.

Offering flexibility, Zoho IoT integrates smoothly with third-party hardware, allowing for rapid scalability and enhanced system integration. Its advanced AI capabilities further enable businesses to develop tailored solutions that predict outages, identify anomalies, and optimise operations, thereby improving overall customer experiences.

Jason Bloomberg, Managing Director at analyst firm Intellyx, praised the platform’s comprehensive capabilities, noting, “The Zoho IoT platform connects a wide range of IoT devices through a cloud-based system that provides robust data integration, orchestration, and visualisation capabilities-turning IoT solutions into virtual twins. Leveraging Zoho’s low-code and AI features, customers can develop customised digital twin solutions for complex environments like factories and office buildings, unlocking cost savings and business agility.”

Sachin Agrawal, Managing Director at Zoho UK, highlighted the platform’s alignment with business workflows, stating, “We believe that connecting Things with business workflows is key to creating a seamless customer experience. Zoho IoT is a platform-first solution, designed to offer customisable and flexible features for a range of industries. With its low-code, interoperable, and secure framework, Zoho IoT simplifies adoption while delivering powerful functionality that elevates operational efficiency and customer experience beyond standard offerings.”

The platform caters to a diverse range of needs with its industry-specific solutions, including temperature monitoring, indoor air quality tracking, vehicle tracking, solar monitoring, water level/leakage detection, and more. Moreover, Zoho IoT offers competitive, flexible pricing plans starting from £39 for up to 25 devices, scaling up to £399 for up to 500 devices.

One satisfied customer, Mike Tanyi, Director of Marketing and IT at SHARC Energy, commented on the platform’s impact, “As a global leader in wastewater energy for sustainable heating and cooling, we needed to empirically demonstrate its real-world impact across multiple customer installations. Zoho IoT provided an enterprise-grade, ‘single pane of glass’ that tracks energy and carbon savings, temperature, pressure, and flow rates, along with automated alerts. This has enabled us to showcase the value of wastewater energy to our stakeholders properly.”
