Graphcore has just announced plans to increase its workforce by 20 per cent, with the hire of 75 new staff to accelerate the development of its next-generation AI computers.
The tech firm will be recruiting across a range of disciplines, including silicon design, hardware, data centre infrastructure, software and AI research.
Graphcore was acquired by Japanese tech giant SoftBank for over £467 million earlier this year and, following the takeover, the Bristol0-headquartered business pledged to “continue to invest in the creation of high-skilled jobs spanning a range of disciplines”, particularly in the UK.
The move to increase its workforce underscores SoftBank’s commitment to investing in AI and supporting Graphcore’s mission to push the boundaries of AI computing.
The company’s innovative approach to chip design has attracted significant attention from the global tech industry, and this latest hiring spree signals its continued growth and ambition.
Nigel Toon, Chief Executive, Graphcore, said: “Graphcore is a place where people can come to do their very best work. Whether your expertise is in silicon, systems, software, AI research or any of the other functions that we are expanding, this is a chance to work at the leading-edge of your field.”
