London-based Human Capital Management (HCM) software provider Zelt has announced a £5 million funding round to support its expansion plans and the development of enhanced features for its customer base. The investment was led by Nauta, with participation from Venrex and Episode 1.
Founded in 2020 by Chris Priebe and Polina Vorms, Zelt offers a comprehensive platform for managing a holistic overview of teams, while also empowering employees with self-service capabilities. Zelt claims its customers can reduce their software spending by up to 50% while also saving time.
Zelt aims to streamline company operations by reducing the time spent managing multiple vendors and automating manual tasks associated with people operations. The company argues that the rise of affordable cloud software has led to a proliferation of individual “point solutions” for areas like onboarding, payroll, holidays, benefits and performance management. This, Zelt contends, has created a complex landscape of tools and subscriptions, making data management, processes and reporting a significant challenge.
Zelt addresses this issue by consolidating these features into a single platform for mid-market businesses, enabling them to centralise and modernise their people operations. Built on a scalable employee database, Zelt allows customers to select and integrate various modules, creating workflows and automating processes such as employee onboarding and payroll.
Chris Priebe, Founder and CEO at Zelt, said: “2024 was an excellent year for Zelt as we launched our new Growth module, onboarded our first 1,000+ headcount organisation and closed a new round of funding that will enable us to invest even more into building the best product available in the market. We see a $50bn opportunity globally as organisations move away from legacy and point solutions, to a next-generation all-in-one platform. Alongside the capital, it’s great to have such an experienced and well aligned investor like Nauta on board as a partner at this stage in our journey.”
