Guy Podjarny, the mastermind behind cybersecurity giant Snyk, has once again made waves in the tech world. His latest venture, London-based AI firm Tessl, has secured £96.5 million for software development.

Guy Podjarny previously held the CTO position at cloud services company Akamai, which acquired his first enterprise, Blaze. io, in 2012. Now, with this funding round, which includes a £19.3 million seed round led by boldstart ventures and GV earlier this year, and a subsequent £77.2 million Series A round led by Index Ventures, Tessl is valued at £579 million.

Tessl’s mission is to “reimagine software creation from the ground up” using the power of AI. The platform is set to launch in early 2025, but the waitlist for this tool was launched on Thursday 14 November. The funding will fuel its development and expansion. Tessl plans to invest heavily in AI research, engineering, product design and developer relations to deliver a cutting-edge solution.

Guy Podjarny, CEO, said: “We’re creating a new paradigm where humans express what they want to build, and AI handles the implementation.”
