A new advisory board has been established to support the thriving tech industry in the South West of England. The group, comprising business leaders, researchers, academics and investors, aims to stimulate growth within the sector and reinforce the region’s position as a key player in the UK’s innovation landscape.
The South West of England Technology Sector Advisory Board was formed by Tech South West, which covers Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, Devon, Dorset, Somerset, Wiltshire, Bristol and Gloucestershire.
Rhona Munro, founder of Gomarkable and vice chair of the Tech South West Advisory Board, said: “Bringing together diverse expertise from across the region, the Advisory Board will be instrumental in supporting Tech South West to drive creativity and growth, whilst emphasising the South West’s vital role in shaping the UK’s innovation landscape.”
The board brings together key figures from the region’s tech ecosystem to shape the sector’s strategic direction. Its primary goal is fostering an environment encourageing innovation, growth and collaboration.
