Qolcom employs 44 people and specialises in digital workplace solutions, network infrastructure and security. The company generated revenues of €30 million in its most recent financial year.

For Qolcom, the move offers the opportunity to accelerate growth under the umbrella of a large international group.

Keith Reading, a key figure in Qolcom’s leadership team, will remain with the company as general manager. This ensures continuity and stability for Qolcom’s employees and customers.

He said: “This marks an important milestone in our company’s growth and our customers will benefit very much from Bechtle’s holistic eco-system, especially on the international stage.”

Konstantin Ebert, CEO of Bechtle AG, said: “We are delighted to welcome Qolcom to the Bechtle family. This acquisition aligns with our growth strategy and reinforces our commitment to the UK market. Qolcom is a perfect match for us – both in terms of its people and its portfolio – and we are looking forward to writing the next chapter in our success story together.”

Qolcom’s brand will remain unchanged initially, ensuring a smooth transition for its customers and employees.

James Napp, managing director of Bechtle UK, who will oversee Qolcom’s integration into the group, added: “The Qolcom team’s knowledge, expertise and strong customer and vendor relationships will add significant strength to Bechtle UK’s position in the mid-market, enterprise and public sector networking and security space.”
