Plymouth technology company, Acronyms, which specialises in managed IT services has expanded into Cornwall, acquiring local counterpart Tanist in a deal worth over £1 million.
Acronyms’ purchase of Tanist includes the company’s office space, staff and contracts, bringing approximately 50 new clients into its portfolio. These include prominent Cornish businesses such as Doom Bar brewer Sharp’s Brewery, regional law firm Charles French & Co, and food production companies Buttermilk and Prima Bakeries. Acronyms has pledged to support the local economy by creating jobs and driving growth from its newly acquired premises in Bodmin.
