Software firm Advanced acquires Welsh SaaS company Hudman
Birmingham and Reading based software and services company Advanced has acquired Welsh cloud-based SaaS provider Hudman Solutions.
Hudman is the developer of enterprise resource planning system CentralERP, which covers accounts, payroll, operations, stock, customers and supply chain.
The acquisition forms part of Advanced’s cloud-first strategy, which will see it roll out cloud-based SaaS solutions, plus extend its reach into the SME business sector.
Gordon Wilson, CEO at Advanced, said: “This acquisition represents the first public step in the company’s next chapter.
“Cloud technology is fast becoming the right choice for many organisations to drive efficiencies, manage costs, innovate and grow. It’s important we help them embrace the cloud to secure this competitive edge.”
This acquisition represents the first ever exit for the Wales Technology Seed Fund from Finance Wales, which made a six-figure investment into Hudman in September 2016.
The Hudman team will join their new colleagues at Advanced in their office in Birmingham.
David James, CEO at Hudman, said: “Our cloud-first approach complements Advanced’s strategy and its ambitious growth plans. We are excited to be joining such an innovative company and being part of the next phase of the journey.”
