PwC Midlands welcomes more than 140 graduates and school leavers across its three offices
PwC Midlands has welcomed over 140 graduates and school leavers to its three office locations in Birmingham, Castle Donington and Milton Keynes.
111 graduates begin their PwC journeys at the One Chamberlain Square office in Birmingham, 18 have become part of the team at the Castle Donington office, near East Midlands Airport, and the remaining 14 newcomers will be based at the Milton Keynes office.
These talented graduates will be distributed among various areas of the firm’s services, encompassing audit, consulting, deals, tax and risk. Some will participate in a rotation programme, gaining exposure to multiple facets of the business, including roles focused on cybersecurity, technology, data and analytics.
PwC proudly highlighted its commitment to social mobility through the recruitment process, as Matthew Hammond, PwC UK Midlands regional market leader and Birmingham senior partner, explained: “I am delighted to welcome the class of 2023 to PwC Midlands. We’re committed to offering training and opportunities to the next generation from a diverse range of backgrounds. It is fantastic to welcome the majority of our intake for the second consecutive year from an ethnic monitory background and over 50 per cent are female.
“Our technology degree apprenticeship programme with the University of Birmingham, now in its sixth year, is also contributing to the sustained development of high-value skills which our clients need rapidly deployed as they transform their businesses. Alongside school and college leavers recruitment, and programmes including Tech She Can and Tech We Can, we provide the right training, skills and opportunities to young people in the region.”
