Onecom Expands Portfolio with Acquisition of Daly Systems
In a strategic move to bolster its service offerings and expand its geographic footprint, Onecom, the Hampshire-based business communications technology provider, has acquired Leicester-based Daly Systems Ltd. This acquisition, marking the twelfth since 2020, underlines Onecom’s aggressive expansion strategy supported by LDC, a subsidiary of Lloyds Banking Group.
Daly Systems, known for its Unified Communications (UC) and IT Managed Services, brings a wealth of experience and an established customer base to Onecom. The acquisition promises to enhance Onecom’s operational capabilities and customer offerings, thanks to Daly Systems’ expert team and significant geographic reach stemming from its Leicester Operations Centre.
Martin Flick, CEO of Onecom Group, expressed his enthusiasm about the acquisition, stating, “The acquisition of Daly Systems is yet another transaction that fits perfectly into our expansion and diversification strategy. In addition to broadening our geographic reach across the UK, we foresee exciting cross-sell opportunities with our combined customer groups.” He added, “We are delighted to welcome the Daly Systems team, who share our commitment to providing exceptional products, services and simply brilliant customer experiences to UK businesses of all sizes, into the Onecom Group.”
Peter Daly, Founder of Daly Systems, reflected on the transition, “After nearly 29 years of developing a great team of staff giving great customer service to our loyal customers, I am pleased that the future is now in the hands of Onecom. Both businesses share a similar culture and that helped me with the final choice. After the safe handover period I will be retiring from the business to follow my motorsport opportunities.”
Onecom continues to strengthen its market position, with over 700 employees and multiple offices across the UK. The company’s strategic partners include leading tech giants such as Vodafone, Microsoft, Google, and Apple.
The acquisition was supported by legal and financial advisors from both sides, with Shoosmiths and HMT LLP advising Onecom, and Knight Corporate Finance, Torr Waterfield Accountants, and Nelsons Solicitors advising Daly Systems.
