Nottingham’s Peppermint Technology acquired by global legal tech firm Litera Group

Nottingham-based cloud software provider Peppermint Technology has been acquired by global legal tech firm Litera Group. The acquisition sees Peppermint join Litera, a company whose workflow software and AI solutions support over 2 million professionals across 70 countries.
Founded in 2010, Peppermint specialises in cloud-based case, client, and document management solutions for the legal sector, built on Microsoft Dynamics and delivered as a Software as a Service (SaaS).
Gateley advised the shareholders and has supported Peppermint Technology for over seven years. The legal team was led by partner Victoria Elliott, along with senior associate Rachael Mitchison, solicitor Joe Girgis, paralegal Elizabeth Cole, apprentice Charlize-Li Clark, employment partner Paul Ball and tax partner Bernhard Gilbey.
Gary Young, CEO of Peppermint Technology, said: “This transaction for Peppermint and all its stakeholders is a strategic and significant step forward for our business and Gateley Legal has been at our side, not just for this deal, but for many years. The team, led by Vicky Elliott, have been first-class and I would recommend them for any business requiring smart, diligent and responsive corporate legal support.”
Victoria Elliott said: “We are delighted to have advised our long-standing client Peppermint Technology on its sale to Litera Group. This transaction not only underscores our expertise in the tech sector but also highlights our commitment to supporting successful businesses across the East Midlands and beyond. The opportunity to be a part of the Litera ecosystem of powerful, user-friendly tools heralds another exciting chapter in our client’s growth journey and together will present a formidable offering to the market.”
