North East software firm secures £1.5m contract with Atos

A Middlesbrough-based software-as-a-service firm has secured a two year contract worth £1.5m with digital giant Atos.

EvaluAgent, which has enjoyed several years of rapid growth, has been brought on board to implement its full Workforce Engagement platform across all of the international company’s key accounts, boosting staff motivation and ultimately improving the customer experience.

Atos UK&I senior vice president David Haley said: “Ensuring the best customer service is delivered to our clients and their customers is our ultimate aim.

“EvaluAgent technology will give our workforce new capabilities and skills to further enhance the great service they deliver every day through engagement.”

Founded in 2011, EvaluAgent offers software tools, expert coaching and a ‘gamification’ service that gives call centre staff more direct incentives when it comes to performance goals.

Having already achieved average annual sales growth of over 300%, it plans to maintain 150% year-on-year growth throughout the next three years.

Earlier in 2016, it was named a Northern Star in Tech North’s pitch competition for promising start-ups – an accolade that led to further acknowledgement at the Northern Tech Awards in March.

Managing director Jaime Scott said: “We’re delighted our technology is being recognised as a key component of an innovative and game-changing Atos initiative to further improve customer experience for their clients.

“It’s undoubtable that many other leading call centres will soon adopt Workforce Engagement to truly differentiate their brand, and ensure they have a highly satisfied customer base and workforce.”

Atos SE (Societas Europaea) is a global leader in digital services, turning over around €12bn and employing 100,000 people in 72 countries.

Serving a global client base, it works across a wide range of sectors, from defence to health to manufacturing, providing numerous services including consulting and systems integration, cloud operations and cyber-security solutions.

The deal with Evaluagent will see the North East company become part of Atos’ SME Harbour, a programme that identifies the best specialist small and medium-sized business when it comes to partnering on customer projects.

The initiative was set up to enable a safe, simple and transparent way for Atos to work with SMEs, a key focus being to help them become suppliers to the public sector, particularly via Government’s G-Cloud procurement framework.

Through the programme, the company says it is also establishing links and relationships with social and enterprise bodies that will support access to the UK’s vast eco-system of small and medium-sized firms.
