Expanding into new territories spurs growth for Newcastle-based technology consultancy

A dynamic and rapidly growing technology consultancy, Test Driven Solutions (TDS), has made significant workforce expansions and established two international operations to meet the demands of its clients.

TDS, a progressive technology consultancy based in Newcastle, specializes in assisting organizations in various sectors, including financial services, government, oil and gas, renewable energy, digital publishing, education, manufacturing, AI & robotics, and healthcare, in successfully executing projects.

Founded by Sam Clark in 2020 amid the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic, the company has since experienced impressive growth. Increased international demand, particularly from clients in North America, prompted TDS to expand its reach globally. It has opened operations in Calgary, Canada, and established a development academy in Wroclaw, Poland.

TDS initially hired its first employee in September 2020, and now boasts a workforce of over 85 employees across its three locations. In response to this rapid expansion, the company has promoted Jamie Jefferson, its finance director, to the position of managing director. To support its ongoing growth, TDS is currently in the process of recruiting for various positions in operations and technology across its locations in the UK, Poland, and Canada.

TDS’ diverse client base includes organizations in the financial services, government, healthcare, renewable energy, oil & gas, as well as the fields of Artificial Intelligence and robotics.

Founder and owner Sam Clark said: “There really is no one providing the specialist services we offer within the North East and we are naturally delighted at how fast TDS has grown in such a short period of time.

“We have ambitious plans and are keen to continue this growth at the same rate in the future. We’ve grown organically mainly due to the strength of our culture and expertise. We are excited to continue our journey and take the business to the next level.

“We’ve chosen Calgary and Wroclaw as our new overseas sites because they are of a similar size and vibrancy as Newcastle. We’ve also been able to support team members relocating between our UK, Canadian and Polish businesses.
