Saggezza to double North East headcount with 50 new jobs
Fintech software company Sagezza is planning to double its headcount in Sunderland by creating 50 new jobs.
Saggezza is planning to grow its team to 100 members of staff over the next year. It is now looking to fill positions in a number of roles, including graduate software developers, Java developers, GMC developers and performance testers. It is also looking to immediately hire 10 full stack Java specialists.
The firm specialises in developing software for financial services firms such as private investment banks and global credit card companies. Its technology allows clients to use their data to create targeted customer communications.
The growth has been made after Saggezza secured a number of contracts in recent months.
Saggezza has already started its recruitment drive after hiring four university graduates, including Umar Mahmood, Newcastle University, David Hutchinson, Northumbria University, Connie Leighton, University of York, and Sakariya Madar, University of Kent.
Martin Williams, UK managing director at Saggezza, said of the new graduates: “We are delighted to welcome Sakariya, Connie, Umar and David to the team. The company has gone from strength to strength in recent years and 2019 is already shaping up to be a great one for our Sunderland office, with more new faces to add to our team. We’ve built an enviable portfolio of clients since we opened our Software Centre office five years ago and the ever-growing number of clients and projects on our roster is testament to the fantastic work carried out by our team.
“We are always looking for ambitious and talented people to join us and these latest appointments are a perfect reflection of this. Each person brings something different, new skills and new views, and we’re delighted to have them on board.”
