Data centre firm Sudlows acquires Progressive Network Solutions
Data centre specialist Sudlows has completed the acquisition of Progressive Network Solutions, a provider of technical installation services.
The Manchester-headquartered company claims the takeover of Progressive, which has operations in London, the Home Counties, Thames Valley and the Midlands, would strengthen its provision of infrastructure services across the South.
Progressive was established in 2002 by directors Tony Shrier and Tim Sprowson to provide specialist technical services, including; unified communications and critical infrastructures.
As part of the integration process, Sudlows and Progressive will be relocating to larger premises. This investment in property and people will form the operational hub of the southern region for the Sudlows Group.
The Progressive executive management team will remain within the business, and assist in the development of Sudlows’ strategic growth plan. The team has experience working with major organisations and blue chip clients across a range of sectors, including finance, commercial, data centres, education and healthcare.
John Collins, managing director at Sudlows, said: “Progressive have an extremely successful track record in technical services and this acquisition represents the enhancement of our services in the southern region.
“The Progressive acquisition is part of our continued investment strategy to expand across the UK, in key national locations. Progressive’s Southern regional customers will extend our client base in the South and allow us to offer Sudlows wider services to these customers.”
Progressive managing director Tony Shrier added: “Sudlows management team and unique technical services will enable Progressive to provide all our clients the opportunity to access an enhanced infrastructure capability supported by Sudlows’ national coverage and award winning service.”
