Newcastle 3D visualistion firm Zerolight heads to Live Works building
Zerolight, is relocating its headquarters to the Live Works building on Newcastle’s Quayside. It will take over all four floors of the building before the end of year.
Incorporated in 2014, the 80-strong company provides 3D visualisation solutions – both in physical showrooms and online – for automotive brands such as Audi AG and Pagani Automobili.
Originally a spin-out from games developer Eutechnyx, it has become a Northern tech success story, expanding at such a rapid rate that a new site was required to accommodate its current and future workforce.
CEO Darren Jobling said: “Moving our headquarters to the premium Live Works location on Newcastle’s iconic quayside is an investment in our future.
“The modern interior, prestigious location and world-class facilities provide the perfect setting for our continued growth as the world’s leading real-time 3D visualisation solution.
“We’re delighted to be moving to a new office location that reflects our position as an employer of choice and embodies our values of quality, collaboration and innovative thinking.”
Live Works, which is shortlisted in the New and Old category of this year’s World Architecture Festival, is the fourth social enterprise project to be developed by Live Theatre as the venue – renowned worldwide for its approach – diversifies its income stream in the face of dwindling funding streams.
Live Theatre chief executive Jim Beirne said: “We are delighted to welcome ZeroLight to Live Works and as a neighbour of Live Theatre.
“As a dynamic and creative business, we are sure that they will be a welcome addition to the creative quarter Live Theatre has been creating on Newcastle’s Quayside and welcome them to enjoy the beautifully designed and well positioned office space that Live Works offers.”
The theatre’s chairman Paul Callaghan added: “This wonderful project is not just significant for Live Theatre but also for the area as a whole.
“We are very proud that we have been able to transform the space into something so special that will be appreciated not just by us, but by ZeroLight’s talented team and clients as well.”
