New CFO for eg Solutions
Elizabeth Gooch, chief executive, eg solutions
STAFFORDSHIRE back-office software specialist, eg solutions has announced the appointment of a new Chief Financial Officer.
Michael Woolley succeeds Jonathan Kay, who announced last month that he was one of four board members quitting the Dunston-based business.
Mr Woolley, who takes up the role with immediate effect, has a wealth of experience in senior finance roles and joined eg in November 2014.
Prior to this, he was Senior Management Accountant at Pets at Home Group, the UK’s leading specialist pet omnichannel retailer and services provider, where he played a fundamental role in the group’s successful IPO. Mr Woolley is a CIMA qualified management accountant and has a degree in accountancy.
Commenting on the new appointment, Elizabeth Gooch, CEO of eg, said: “Michael’s appointment further strengthens the newly formed board and we are pleased with the progress he continues to make to the financial and operational performance of eg. We welcome him at a pivotal time in our realignment and refocus.”
Mr Kay has stepped down from the board with immediate effect, however he will remain employed by the company until the completion of his notice period.
Another to have quit the firm at the same time as Mr Kay was non-executive chairman Duncan McIntyre.
He has since been replaced by Nigel Payne, chairman of Birmingham-based law firm Gateley.
