Mobile accessories manufacturer opens new offices and reveals growth goals
Bluechipworld is launching a recruitment and brand portfolio drive over the next few months following the move to a new purpose-built premises.
The accessories manufacturer moved into the offices in Cannock, Staffordshire last month. They include offices, meeting rooms, product showrooms, testing laboratories and a 30,000 square foot warehouse – five times bigger than its original housing.
Bluechipworld CEO Simon Hassell told Mobile News the move is part of major expansion and growth plans, which will include the appointment of a “highly-experienced” senior national account manager and three business development managers, as well as brands added to its portfolio.
It currently employs 30 staff, and is aiming to increase that to over 50 over the following months, strengthening its sales, operations, testing laboratory and warehousing teams.
“The relocation to new offices has really opened doors for us, and we are being approached by many companies,” said Hassell.
“We can store more products as a result, with our growing reputation, expanding product portfolio and growth plans attracting high-talented staff.”
Included in that portfolio expansion, will see the firm make its debut in the action camera market with a range of products, including one that can shoot 360 degree images. A specialist distribution partner, retailers and pricing will be announced in due course.
It also has struck deals to distribute products for rugged case maker Urban Armour Gear, Bluetooth/WiFi product vendor GGMM, leather case maker Wetherby, computer cleaning product firm 4clean and case protection company Wise-Pet.
