Midlands Insider event aims to give firms tech insight
Businesses across the West Midlands will be given a unique insight into the fast-changing world of technology at an Insider Media event later this month.
Companies can hear how technology and innovation will shape the office, the factory and business logistics over the next five years and how they can prepare themselves to take full advantage.
Insider’s Growth through Technology Breakfast is scheduled for 29 June 2016 at The Colmore Building, Birmingham.
Among the panellists will be Ken Young, technology director of the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) in Coventry. Over the past 20 years Young has headed cutting-edge research projects in the automotive, aerospace, horticulture and pharmaceuticals sectors.
The other panellists are Brian Donnelly, chief executive of Synapse Information; Chris Holland, group IT director at Pall-Ex, Jot Engelbrecht, chief operating officer of office design business Nexus and Gareth Stokes, partner at DLA Piper.
Engelbrecht and Donnelly will give an insight into what the office will look like in five years’ time, while Holland will explain the role technology is playing in revolutionising the logistics sector. An assessment of the legal challenges these changes could bring will be provided by Stokes.
