Majestic wins coveted Queen’s Award for Innovation
Innovation Birmingham Campus-based Majestic has won a Queen’s Award for Enterprise, selected for their outstanding achievement and commercial success in Innovation, marking the 50th anniversary of the awards.
The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise is an awards programme for British businesses and other organisations that excel in three categories; International Trade, Innovation and Sustainable Development, with an additional Award for Enterprise Promotion (QAEP), awarded to individuals who have made outstanding contribution to promoting and enhancing enterprise among UK entrepreneurs and companies. The Queen’s Awards, which are the highest official UK accolade for British businesses, aim to promote excellence and drive economic growth.
Majestic – developer of the world’s largest commercially available website link index – was recommended to be shortlisted for the award by the Prime Minister’s office and an advisory committee composed of leading individuals from industry, commerce and trade unions. The award will be formally presented by a Royal representative at a reception hosted by the Queen at Buckingham Palace in July.
Alex Chudnovsky, Founder and Managing Director of Majestic, said: “We have won quite a few awards over the years and from the start, Majestic’s Marketing Director, Dixon Jones, and I had a pact that we would meet the Queen one day – and we are thrilled to say that day has arrived!
“To win an award of this calibre is a fantastic achievement for our team and is the pinnacle of our work to date. Following our recent rebrand, we look forward to moving forward and continuing to build upon our success, to grow as a tech company.”
