Long Eaton firm Questmark launches new video conferencing technology

Questmark has launched a new cloud-based meeting service. The Meeting Platform cloud-based video software can be used anywhere in the world – while the company says it is secure and simple to use for a wider range of individuals and organisations.

The Meeting Platform can accommodate about 20 participants and has been designed to deliver HD audio and video.

Applications for iOS and Android mobile devises, along with Mac OSX, Windows and Linux desktops, have also been developed and are available online, meaning the programme is fully portable and accessible from anywhere with wireless connectivity.

Financing for the launch came from a six-figure loan from the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS).

Leia Pearce, marketing manager at Questmark, said: “Video conferencing, especially the ability to host and attend video meetings online, holds a number of benefits for companies, including improved employee engagement and motivation, higher rates of productivity, collaboration with external contacts, a reduction in travel costs and reduced decision-making time.

“Research undertaken by [technology research firm] Gartner has indicated that group video conferencing usage will grow by as much as 400 percent by 2019, and The Meeting Platform has been developed to offer users a simple to use, secure and easily accessible way to undertake such communication.

“The support we have received from Royal Bank of Scotland to help us launch The Meeting Platform has been excellent.

“The funding has enabled us to invest in the new technology we needed for the business and the team at the bank have been completely behind our decision to launch the new service.”

Established in 1993, Questmark supplies video conferencing equipment and services to healthcare groups, charities and businesses, while it is also an official Crown Commercial Service supplier.

RBS’s lending deal has supported the product launch by providing funding for Questmark to purchase a number of multi-control units.

These have enabled the company to add enhanced capacity to its service and ensure it is operating at a high security specification.
