iCentrum set to host first Tech Wednesday event
With just two days to go until April’s monthly Tech Wednesday meet-up, this will be one that all you budding techies won’t want to miss in our state-of-the-art iCentrum building.
Held once a month as an opportunity for Campus member and prospective Entrepreneurs for the Future (e4f) tenants to mingle, new and existing members can enjoy pizza, beverages, networking and a presentation from our keynote speaker – all delivered on our brand new 25 ft wide high video conferencing wall.
With a chance to grab a drink and to take in the new surroundings, guests will be treated to an introductory speech from Innovation Birmingham’s CEO, Dr David Hardman MBE, who will take to the floor to welcome attendees to our incredible new building; marking the completion of the second phase of Campus development.
Attendees will then enjoy a presentation from our keynote speaker Daniel Bower; Birmingham-born co-founder of Hoop – an app that helps families find things to do with their kids (something bound to come in handy over the summer holidays!)
With an impressive CV boasting co-founder of his own company, board member for image licensing marketplace, Picfair and a previous position as head of product and technology with Europe’s largest online coupon business, VoucherCodes – Daniel will share his experiences of starting up in the tech industry (and the ups and downs which come hand-in-hand with it!)
With a 20-minute Q&A session from the crowd, Daniel will share a few secrets to his success and what he would do differently given the chance – valuable information to any start-up just getting off the ground!
The next Tech Wednesday is at 5.30pm on Wednesday 18th May 2016. For more information on the agenda and to register, please visit: http://www.meetup.com/tech-wednesday/
