Edge Testing boosts financial sector team following contract wins
Edge Testing Solutions, part of Eurofins Digital Testing, has recently added two new financial sector clients to its roster with multi-year, multi-million-pound engagements. As a result of this success, the company has appointed Poorva Baderia as Business Development Manager targeting financial services sector clients in the Midlands and South of England.
Current financial clients include several major Building Societies and Investment Companies. The contracts cover a variety of software testing services including managed, functional, performance and automated testing, and are being undertaken both onsite and remotely from Edge Testing’s Birmingham, Manchester and Glasgow-based Digital Test Hubs.
Poorva will operate out of Birmingham and London with a primary focus on financial services and asset management, thanks to her expertise in those sectors.
A former engineer who relocated from India to study Business Technology Consultancy at Henley Business School, Poorva worked at Tata Consultancy Services on Morgan Stanley for two years, where she was instrumental in securing a Tier 1 Netherlands bank contract. Prior to her move to Edge Testing, Poorva was a Business Development Manager at Sogeti.
Poorva commented: “Our London and Birmingham bases are ideally placed to make the best use of the M4 corridor and M5 link to find exciting clients and projects from Bristol and Wales all the way down to London and Exeter. London is the country’s financial hub, so I see my new role being one where I ensure Edge Testing’s UK-wide business plan progresses in line with the capital’s evolution.
“Additionally, the move of financial sector businesses out of London to the Midlands provides Edge Testing with further opportunities to deliver software testing services”
Combining her technical background as an engineer with her business acumen, Poorva’s new role will see her fostering new client relations, understanding their challenges to develop services in line with their requirements and identifying where Edge Testing can bring value to existing and future projects.
David Singleton concluded: “Poorva brings both technical and practical experience, offering our business development team a dual hat approach to ensure we meet all of our clients’ needs and help boost Edge Testing’s presence in the Midlands and South of England.
“Edge Testing’s success has very much been due to the company’s unwavering focus on clients and bringing added value through our unique Digital Test Hub and Academy-as-a-Service offerings, which take the effort and cost out of securing UK-based testing services on-demand. Poorva’s appointment is another step in providing an experienced, client-focused team with significant technical expertise.”
Poorva’s appointment is just a part of Edge Testing’s continued growth, adding to a team of over 260 people, including some of the UK’s premier testing thought leaders and experts.
