Digital Balance strengthens team with Mobedia LX acquisition
Stoke-on-Trent’s Digital Balance has acquired Manchester-based e-Learning content provider Mobedia LX.
Digital Balance is a talent management software specialist which counts L’Oreal, Santander, Talk Talk and BT among its clients, and is part of MyCleverGroup (MCG).
The seven-strong Mobedia LX team will now relocate to MCG’s newly-opened offices in Didsbury, Manchester, where they will continue to develop eLearning content and experiences for organisations across the globe.
Chris Keeling, chief technology officer (CTO) at Digital Balance, said: “We’re really excited with this announcement, there’s a real synergy between the services of Mobedia LX and Digital Balance and this additional capability will help us in our goal to become a key provider of both systems and content alike.”
Nicky Hoyland, chief commercial officer (CCO) at Digital Balance, added: “In addition to the extra capability, we’re really looking forward to working with some exciting new clients.
“We’re continuing to grow our portfolio and continue to be recognised for awards which will allow us to expand our national footprint out of our Manchester office as well as our headquarters in Stoke-on-Trent.”
This latest acquisition comes just seven months after Digital Balance was taken over by MCG in April 2019.
MCG’s other businesses include Harrison Carloss, which is one of Staffordshire’s oldest marketing companies, and data strategy specialists Beyond Data.
In October, MGC also launched the Clever Academy – a new training academy for youngsters who wish to carve a career in the technology sector.
Gareth Mobley, CEO at MGC, said: “We are really excited to announce this acquisition.
“As part of MCG and by adding LX, Digital Balance is now in an ideal position to expand and offer its talent management solutions to new clients while maintaining the world-class service levels to its existing client base.
“The team, culture, working ethos and track record at Mobedia LX are a perfect fit with what we look for at MCG.”
