BYPY tech finalist duo based at Innovation Birmingham Campus

Two of the finalists for the 2016 Birmingham Young Professional of the Year (BYPY) awards are tech entrepreneurs based at Innovation Birmingham Campus. Mike Brooman of Vanti and Hannah Quinton of GuyKat Solutions will go head-to-head in the final of the BYPY award at Birmingham’s ICC on Thursday 12^th May at the ICC, Birmingham.

BYPY is a prestigious awards ceremony which recognises and rewards the most talented individuals in Birmingham’s business community. This flagship event of BPS Birmingham Future, celebrates the best professional talent across six categories including; Finance, HR, Recruitment and Training, Legal, Marketing and Communications, Property and Construction and Technology.

Mike Brooman is CEO of Vanti, an audio, visual and IT systems integrator who recently won international recognition as the Most InAVative Corporate Facility at this year’s inAVation Awards. Established in 2006, the company has made 11 appointments during the past 12 months, achieved an average growth of 32 per cent over the last three years and is on track to achieve an annual turnover of £3 million by 2017. Mike was also shortlisted for this year’s BQ Emerging Entrepreneur awards.

Hannah Quinton is GuyKat’s Principal eLearning Designer and leads a team creating award-winning bespoke eLearning solutions. She is a certified developer in Adobe Captivate and in 2015 her work was deployed in over 52 countries and used in the training of thousands of professionals worldwide. Hannah has been a key driver in GuyKat’s ongoing success helping the company grow by 20 per cent year-on-year. She also project managed a suite of online training modules that won the Digital Technology category in the Insider Midlands 2015 Export Awards.

Mike and Hannah were shortlisted following an extensive application process, firmly placing them among the best young professionals in the West Midlands. The technology category is open to individuals who plan, design, develop, implement or manage a tech based in-house department, agency or private business. This includes; people in product/service development, R&D, digital communication, web planning/design/development, mobile development, network architecture and management.
