Birmingham listed tech firm signs E.ON supply deal
A Birmingham-based listed technology company has signed a supply agreement with energy giant E.ON.
LightwaveRF will provide its latest range of Lightwave Smart series lighting and power devices.
The agreement is part of a collaboration between E.ON and housebuilder Berkeley Group at its Kidbrooke Village development in Greenwich, London.
Lightwave’s smart hub, light switches and power sockets will be offered to Berkeley’s homebuyers as an upgrade package, to control lighting and power and to allow energy monitoring at device level through E.ON’s Future Energy Home dashboard.
LightwaveRF chief executive Jason Elliott said: “We are excited to be involved in this important project with E.ON and Berkeley, which is thought to be the first of its kind in the UK. This is a great example of collaboration in order to deliver future, sustainable housing. The award of this contract represents a key development stage for Lightwave, supplying a major energy provider and home developer with a future-proof solution for smart controlled homes.”
