Cloud and cybersecurity firm expands operations in Birmingham

METCLOUD, a cloud and cybersecurity services provider is increasing its presence in Birmingham, aiming to create up to 100 new jobs following a series of contract and partnership agreements.
METCLOUD has secured the entire fifth floor of Lyndon House, a move that will facilitate the creation of roles in cybersecurity and strengthen the company’s position in key sectors, including defence, critical national infrastructure, government, health, finance, and insurance.
The software and services company’s expansion follows several recent contract successes, including its selection to provide cybersecurity services to specialist defence manufacturer NMS UK.
Ian Vickers, chief executive at METCLOUD, said: “Our expansion reflects our continued growth nationally and our unwavering commitment to Birmingham and the West Midlands.
“Our new relationship with NMS UK underscores our strong track record in the dynamic defence industry landscape and shared commitment to innovation, resilience and security. I look forward to working closely with them in 2025 as we both embark on the next phase of our West Midlands growth journeys.”
The West Midlands Growth Company (WMGC), the region’s official investment promotion agency, has supported METCLOUD’s expansion by providing dedicated sector-focused consultancy and public relations support. METCLOUD has also taken part in London & Partners’ Grow Global programme.
Mike Lewis, sector lead for creative, digital and tech at West Midlands Growth Company, added: “METCLOUD is one of the West Midlands’ strongest tech success stories and it’s brilliant to see them gearing up for further growth in 2025.
“We’re excited to continue supporting their expansion in the region as they team up with major international businesses in the global fight against cybercrime.”
