School of Coding & AI to launch new edtech hub in Birmingham
A significant expansion into Birmingham is set to generate over 100 new educational technology jobs, as announced by the Wolverhampton-based School of Coding & AI. The company has secured a deal to open a new hub on Livery Street, which will serve as a training ground for the upcoming generation of technology and digital professionals.
The expansion is expected to create at least 100 new roles in higher education over the next three years. Since its inception in 2017, the School of Coding & AI has collaborated with educational institutions and businesses to enhance digital literacy by offering courses in STEM subjects, computer science, AI, and cyber security.
In collaboration with the University of Wolverhampton, the School of Coding & AI will inaugurate a 12,000 square foot facility at Livery Place in Birmingham’s business district. This new centre is part of a broader plan to establish five additional campuses across the country by 2025. The hub will feature an AI learning lab and offer a variety of degree and higher education courses, with approximately 300 students expected to enrol this coming January.
Manny Athwal, chief executive at School of Coding & AI, said: “We’re extremely excited to be collaborating with the University of Wolverhampton – a global leader in cybersecurity research – for this next chapter in our growth journey.
“From our new Birmingham campus, we look forward to equipping a new generation of students with the specialist knowledge and expertise to embark on exciting and rewarding careers in tech.”
Additionally, the company has expanded internationally, opening new offices in Hyderabad and Chandigarh, India. These offices provide UK students with funded placements, offering them a chance to immerse in a new culture while honing their software development skills.
