UK Tech Week is just around the corner
The inaugural UK Tech Week is fast approaching, with over 30 exciting events scheduled throughout the country. Set to run from April 23 to April 25, this event is designed to highlight the vibrant technology innovation and entrepreneurship happening across the UK.
Events will be held simultaneously at major tech hubs nationwide, including Newcastle, Newport, Bristol, and Birmingham. This broad coverage underscores the event’s theme, “bringing UK tech together,” as noted by Stuart Clarke MBE, the founder of UK Tech Week.
Support for this significant event comes from national organizations such as techUK and the Startup Coalition, as well as regional entities like Cambridge Tech Week and TechWM, ensuring a robust and diverse technological showcase.
Clarke added: “Participants in UK Tech Week will not only be taking part in a nationwide celebration of the UK’s tech talent and innovation; they can also use the opportunity to promote to a wider audience their own regional events that take place throughout the year.”
The diverse lineup of UK Tech Week features events tailored to regional and sector-specific themes, such as Tramshed Tech’s panel discussion on the UKTN Wales report, alongside sessions focused on AI, green technology, and IoT.
Beyond offering valuable insights into these critical areas, the week will also serve as a prime networking hub for entrepreneurs and investors looking to forge new connections and explore collaborative opportunities.
The event has garnered significant support, including endorsement from the government, with Tech Minister Saqib Bhatti backing this innovative initiative.
“Across the UK, innovative entrepreneurs are driving economic growth and helping to solve our biggest challenges, from tackling the climate crisis to advances in healthcare,” said Bhatti.
“UK Tech Week is a great opportunity to celebrate the best of UK tech, showcasing the strength of our tech ecosystems right across the country.”
UK Tech Week is set to commence with an exciting launch event in Birmingham on April 22, followed by the main activities occurring from April 23 to April 25.
