Netcom Training, a prominent digital skills provider, has triumphed in securing a substantial contract valued at £3.8 million annually. The contract spans the upcoming three years and is geared towards the facilitation of novel courses within the West Midlands.
This contract materialized through the West Midlands Combined Authority’s call for tenders, an extension of their ongoing collaboration with Netcom Training. Notably, the Birmingham-based IT training provider had previously earned accolades amounting to £8.5 million over the course of the last three years. This extensive partnership has been instrumental in training citizens across 18 local authorities.
Netcom Training is widely recognized for offering diverse courses encompassing domains such as digital accountancy, cyber security, and marketing. Moreover, it will foster enhanced accessibility to a broad spectrum of well-paying career opportunities.
Reflecting on this achievement, Director Kevin Vashi expressed enthusiasm, stating “Our latest contract victory stands as a testament to our steadfast commitment to the West Midlands. We are thrilled to sustain our collaboration with the incredible communities we have served thus far and to introduce an expanded array of courses covering emerging digital skills.”
Clare Hatton, serving as the interim director for employment within the combined authority, also shared her perspective: “We take immense pride in our ongoing partnership with Netcom Training, as it empowers our residents with invaluable digital proficiencies. This training equips local individuals with the prowess needed to tap into the realm of high-quality employment opportunities prevalent throughout the region’s pivotal sector. In doing so, we actively contribute to nurturing our burgeoning economy.”
