Software firm secures new business worth almost £2m
Sutton Coldfield software company, Castleton Technology, has secured two new contract wins with a combined value of almost £2m. The software and managed services provider, which supplies to the public and not-for-profit sectors, has secured a 10-year contract with Clúid Housing Association in Ireland and a five-year contract with Arcon Housing Association in Manchester.
Together, the contracts have a combined value of £1.8m.
The contracts are the second and third Housing Management system wins since the company’s acquisition of Kypera Holdings in January 2016.
Castleton is planning to use the expertise within that company to grow its business within the social housing sector.
Dean Dickinson, CEO of Castleton, said: “These new contracts, in particular the one with Clúid, which is our first customer to take the full suite of our products, are proof of our business model. This, combined with a healthy pipeline, means that we are well positioned to maintain our growth whilst increasing profitability by providing more of our customers with our broader range of complementary products and services.”
Anne Southern, finance director of Arcon, added: “Adopting the Castleton integrated suite of products means we can interact more efficiently with our customers, which will reduce cost and improve our service to them.
“The Housing and Agile Products in particular will also allow us to reshape how we deliver our front-line services to our customers, giving them the option to choose which device they use to communicate with us.”
Castleton has also announced that its chief operating officer, Davinder Sanghera, is to step down from the board with immediate effect to pursue other interests, although she will remain available to the company to ensure an orderly handover.
Ian Smith, executive deputy chairman, said: “Davinder was originally only due to stay with her company Documotive for a few months following its acquisition. I’m delighted she agreed to stay longer, becoming our COO. In that role, Davinder has made a great contribution to Castleton and we all wish her very well in whatever she plans to do next.”
